The days are getting shorter, my bike is parked on the trickle charger and the first Christmas lights are popping up in the streets. Perfect timing to share my own biker girl wishlist. Not just some random gadgets, but things I actually use or that have been on my personal wishlist for a while. For anyone still looking for a gift for a motorcycle lover (or secretly building a list for themselves 😉).
Yes, I know, it’s only early November. But I just really love the Christmas season. The atmosphere, the lights, the smell of cinnamon... And honestly? You’re allowed to start thinking about gifts nice and early, right? 🎁
Whether you’re looking for presents for a biker friend, a partner who just got their license, or you just want inspiration for your own wishlist: these are my personal favourites. Everything you’ll find in this blog is tested by me or on my own list. No random gift guide, but things that genuinely make me happy.
Dainese Leg Bag: stylish and practical
Handy, compact and pretty. You wear the Dainese Leg Bag on your leg, so your phone, passport and keys are always within easy reach. No more hassle with jacket pockets or backpacks. And honestly? It just looks good. The idea of not having to wear a backpack anymore and swapping it for this leg bag alone makes me want it. A backpack is literally a heavy load on your shoulders when riding!
Shoei GT-Air II ‘Glorify’: my dream helmet
My current Shoei helmet is without a doubt the best investment I’ve ever made. And now there’s a new version: the GT-Air II Glorify. My current helmet is matte black, but the new one has gorgeous blue details. Shoei is great in terms of noise reduction, but what I love most is that you can have it perfectly adjusted to your head in shops like MKC Moto. You can have the Sena system built in, which looks super sleek and is incredibly handy on the road.
A helmet as a gift is of course in the higher price range. But if your partner or family member has been riding with the same (or an outdated) helmet for ages, this can be the perfect present. Just make sure:
you know the correct size beforehand,
you measure the rider’s head (literally 😉) or go helmet shopping together,
you take into account the type of riding they do (touring, sport, commuting, lots of highway, ...)
Hightail Hair: finally no more ‘helmet hair’
If you have long hair, you’ll probably recognise this: tangles, static hair and endless detangling after every ride. I used to braid my hair every time to protect it, but then I’d come home with ‘woven’ hair. With the Hightail Hair ultimate kit you attach a buff to your helmet that you can tuck your hair into. That way you can still wear your hair ‘down’ inside the buff and easily let it loose again during a stop without creating chaos.
This is the kind of gift non-riders don’t always think about, but for women on a bike it can be a real lifesaver. Fewer knots means:
less time spent in the bathroom after your ride,
less damaged hair,
your hair not looking completely crazy the moment you take off your helmet
TCX X-Boulevard: stylish heeled motorcycle boots
These TCX X-Boulevard motorcycle boots are waterproof, comfortable and feminine. And for me, the little heel is a must. I’m not super tall for a rider, and thanks to that extra bit of height I can reach the ground better when manoeuvring and parking. They look like casual boots, but they’re sturdy and safe. Perfect for city trips and weekend rides where you also want to walk around comfortably without changing shoes.
What do I personally look for in motorcycle boots?
Grip on wet roads and cobblestones
Ankle protection and reinforcement at the toes
A neutral colour so they match different outfits
Whether I can walk in them all day without pain or blisters
Gift ideas for a smaller budget
A few more smaller gift ideas that always work for riders:
Muc-Off Inside Helmet Cleaner: for the inside of your helmet, fresh and antibacterial. A real lifesaver after hot rides.
Muc-Off Motorcycle Protectant: my favourite! Smells amazing, keeps shining long after washing and makes your bike look like it just rolled out of the showroom.
How to choose the right gift for a motorcyclist
Still doubting? These are a few questions I always ask myself when choosing a motorcycle gift:
Do they mainly ride long trips or short rides? Long trips call for practical items: navigation, luggage, comfort. Shorter rides leave more room for fun & styling.
Is their safety gear up to date? An old helmet, worn-out gloves or boots can be a sign that an upgrade isn’t a luxury but a necessity.
What bothers them most at the moment? Sore feet, cold hands, noise in the helmet… The best gifts often solve small daily annoyances.
Do you want something that will last for years or a fun extra on the side? Both are fine, but it helps to decide this before you start shopping.
Not sure about their size? Then go for items where size is less critical (leg bag, cleaning products, stickers, gift card) or make ‘going to try gear together’ part of the gift.
One important thing to remember when putting together your motorcycle wishlist: good gear really does make a difference. Not just for comfort and safety, but for pure joy. Riding with gear that makes you happy – you feel it in every single corner. This list is meant as inspiration: you don’t have to agree with everything I share here, and it’s definitely not a ‘must-have’ checklist. Everyone has their own preferences.
Let me know what’s at the top of your wishlist this year! Who knows, maybe I’ll discover new must-haves myself for the next holiday season.
Happy holidays (yes, a bit early) and safe rides,
Cara from BikingWithC
Important things to keep in mind
If you want to give clothing or a helmet as a gift, it’s crucial to know the correct sizes. Especially for helmets: the right fit is directly linked to safety.
Not sure about the size? Then it’s better to go for accessories or a gift card.
For clothing and boots, check things like waterproofing, protection (CE certifications) and of course whether the item also matches the bike.
Keep the type of bike in mind: touring, sport, adventure … Not every gadget fits every motorcycle.
All the answers you are looking for
Think practical and personal: gloves, leg bags, care products for helmet or hair, or stylish boots that you can also wear off the bike. Smaller things like helmet cleaners, stickers or a nice buff are always a good idea too. And a gift card from a motorcycle shop is perfect if you don’t feel confident choosing gear yourself.
For protective gear the right size is super important for both safety and comfort. If you’re unsure, it’s better not to buy a fully size-dependent item. Go for accessories, care products or a gift card instead. Or turn it into a moment together: give a ‘let’s go gear shopping together’ voucher for after the holidays.
Not at all. Yes, a helmet or pair of boots is a bigger investment. But there are also plenty of smaller gifts between €10 and €30 that actually get used: cleaning products, helmet sprays, a fun keychain, stickers, a buff or thermal socks. The most important thing is choosing something that fits the rider and doesn’t end up in the back of a closet.
